Hamburg secured two prestigious awards at the MIPIM Awards 2025 in Cannes. The projects “Green Bunker” and “The Beehive” were crowned winners in their respective categories.

The sustainable transformation project “Green Bunker” impressed the jury in the “Best Conversion Project” category. The former bunker was successfully converted into an innovative, green building under the leadership of INTER±POL Interdisciplinary Studios GmbH/Metapol, with architects Michael Kuhn, Tim Schierwater, and Mathias Müller-Using at the helm.
The project developers EHP GmbH, Matzen Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG, and INTER±POL Studios GmbH implemented a sustainable concept that sets new standards both architecturally and ecologically.
“The Beehive” – Winner in the “Best Residential Project” Category
The residential project “The Beehive” also stood out, winning in the “Best Residential Project” category. The concept was designed by the WERK architecture firm, which placed a strong emphasis on communal living and sustainable construction.
